Good hairstyles for your face shape & how to determine your shape | Justine Leconte

Which hairstyle suits me? Here is how to find the best hairstyle for your face shape. Face shapes and hairstyles are a tricky topic. This video shows you how to find your face shape among the 6 main face shapes, with an easy test method.
Then I describe each shape (oval, square, round, heart, diamond and long) and how to recognize it.
Once you know which shape your face has, I give you tips on how to get a hairstyle that suits your face.
This knowledge is not a “rule” that everyone should follow: it is the guidance based on which you can make informed decisions about getting bangs or not, choosing a hair length, styling, etc…
Enjoy!

  1. this is perfect!! I used to have the haircut you recommended for my face shape and i really liked it!! I’m growing my hair out so i can get it back😂😂

  2. Hi Justine, according to this and the measurements, I'm a diamond. Halle Berry flashed up for a quick blip and then she was gone, while you quickly moved onto the next face shape. After 55 years of trial and error I feel that diamond is the hardest face shape – its small, easily swallowed up by hair, needs height, mall face, and is better left "open" so, to help us diamonds, can you please give more examples (in different lengths) and a bit more detail on what to avoid, what to veer toward? (On many clips diamonds barely get a mention.) Thanks in advance.

  3. My center line is wider than the forehead and jaw (which are equal). I have a slight widow’s peak as well, but a big forehead. I am leaning heart shaped, but my vertical line is still the longest line. When I smile however, all best are off and I am one with a pancake. 🥞

  4. Plsss 🙏, as u can see on my profile pic., What do u think the shape of my face? And I have a wavy hair, what do u think is the best hair style for me?

  5. Diamond face, and yes, you're right, volume to the upper part of head, asymmetrical bang looks good on me. Without knowing it was right for my face, I just did it intuitively. Thank you! 💗

  6. I don't know which face shape I am between oval and heart shape…
Like, my cheekbones line is just a bit longer than the others horizontal lines… Also flat hairstyles on the top of my head don't suit me at all, then the bottom of my face doesn't fit the oval shape template at all but the rest does… Even if my cheekbones line is a little bit longer than on the template.

So I think I'm heart shaped. Also the top and the bottom of my face fit ✨per-fec-tly✨ with the heart shape template… But not my cheekbones! They're really not that long!

Is it possible to be in between two shapes?
