Done by @calebquales First Calf Tattoo. Not my first tattoo. I am 6 days post tattoo and it hurts like a mf to stand. It feels like my calf is filled with fluid that’s stretching my skin and about to rip open. Pain is a 7/10. No redness/heat/. I never have felt pain this long b4. Is this normal?

  1. My calves both felt like they were seizing up for 2-3 days following.

    Funny story –

I had broken my right ankle like THREE days prior to my tattoo. Got my left calf tattooed and for the next couple days I felt completely disabled lol. Couldn’t comfortably stand on either leg.

  2. At least have a friend if not a doctor take a good look at it. It’s possible it’s healing and tight and or the artist has a heavy hand but have it inspected for any anomalies. It’s easy to take a course of antibiotics earlier than later. And I love the classic tatts.

  3. Wouldn’t hurt to get that checked out. One of mine felt exactly like that and it turned out it was infected, easy spot for that to happen because it’s so close to the ground, especially if you have any pets. Looks like it’s still oozing a lot for six days in too.
