Thought I would share the meaning behind this piece. 3 months ago, my boyfriend of 6 years unexpectedly took his own life. He was a special forces pararescueman and was directly responsible for saving so many lives. His name was Travis and in 2008, he was awarded PJ of the year. He was absolutely incredible in every single way. This is my tribute to him; there’s a lot of symbolism but ultimately it represents our divine cosmic connection and healing. I’ve made it a personal mission to advocate for help with our veterans and PTSD. My family is currently working on an annual nationwide campaign to raise funds to help prevent tragedies like this from happening. So, this may be just a tattoo but it will stick with me forever just like Travis will.

This is the second piece from Sam I’ve seen, now I think I need to pop in Good Karma for a session. The shop is by Mellwood Art Center right?
This is gorgeous!
Hope you’re doing well.
My condolences. He sounds like he was one of a kind. May he rest peacefully. 🕊 Your tattoo looks beautiful.
Looks amazing!!!
Very nice piece of art.
How long did it take to complete? I’m guessing not in a single month…
Cute. Like the snake too

Awesome design and execution; even better to hear that it’s so meaningful. Thank you for sharing Travis’ memory.
Beautiful tattoo.
Damn, wicked tat lady
I really like the part where the planar triangle bisected the pyramidal shape. I don’t know why that sort of speaks to me, but it’s really cool. Like, the more basic object can cut through the one that looks like it’s actually real.
One day I hope tattoo artists will understand snake biology. Until that day, we’re left with this twisty nonsense
